About the program/department/team
A women’s film company seeks an energetic and savvy person to market its latest award-winning documentary film.
The opportunity
Role responsibilities:
- Assist with building a campaign and organizing film screenings/ teach-ins and round table discussions in cities across Canada
- Seek out streaming platforms,resulting in helping the film to create an impact in online, feminist, university and progressive communities.
Qualifications
- Graduate student or beyond
- Excellent writing skills, with the ability to engage audiences and stakeholders online, in person, and over the phone.
- Creative- Able to generate ideas for engaging audiences
- .Experience in one or more of the following areas: film distribution / feminist activism, /community building.
- Well-versed in alternative media and how it can make an impact with progressive communities.
- Comfortable developing contacts,have some experience in feminist media, history or theory.
- Detail and relationship oriented.
- Self motivated with the ability to adapt quickly to changes.
- Ability to think and plan ahead
