Accommodation Deep Dive: "Recorded Lectures"

Date
March 31, 2023
Time
11:00 AM EDT - 12:20 PM EDT
Location
Virtual Online

In "deep dive" sessions we get into the nitty gritty of a "common accommodation" and talk about what it is, what it isn't, what it does, and how it can be applied.

This week we'll look at recording lectures. First, we'll define this accommodation, why it may be part of a student's accommodation plan, and address some common concerns. Then, we'll look at the broader benefits and opportunities that recording lectures can have for you and your students. We hope you leave the session with a greater understanding of this accommodation from a variety of perspectives, and some strategies for incorporating video recordings in your teaching practice. Our guest this week is Sally Goldberg Powell, Instructional Technologist at the Centre for Excellence in Learning and Teaching.

Facilitated by:

  • Jenny Sampirisi (AAS)
  • Michelle Schwartz, Educational Developer (CELT)
  • Sally Goldberg Powell, Instructional Technologist (CELT)

This event is part of the AAS Teach & Talk Sessions.
