Balancing our operating budget

Toronto Metropolitan University continues to work within the provincial government’s parameters to balance the university’s operating budget.

Promoting access to a high-quality post-secondary education is an important institutional value, and as expressed in our 2020-25 Academic Plan, we remain committed to funding activities that allow us to be bold in our thinking, actions and decisions.

Balancing the budget is a complex task that requires input from our academic and administrative leaders, as well as the broader university community. Our open and consultative budget process gives students, faculty and staff the opportunity to engage with senior administration on our 2024-25 budget plans in a public forum.

Thank you for your ongoing commitment to Toronto Metropolitan University and for taking part in this important process.
