Our university offers a myriad of student resources and support services to ensure that you are thriving during your time here as a student. Whether you need assistance with your academics or with your personal life, these services are here to support you.

Academic Accommodation Support

Academic Accommodation Support (AAS) supports students with disabilities at Ryerson. AAS works with students to create and implement individualized academic accommodation plans to support their learning.

Your accommodations may address how you participate in class, as well as how you complete tests and assignments. You may also be granted access to RU Noted, a peer note-taking service, and the Test Centre, an accommodated space where you can write your tests.

Career & Co-op Centre

Whenever I need to brush up on my interview skills or get a second opinion on my resumé, I make sure to book an appointment with the Career & Co-op Centre

They are the place to go to for alumni and students seeking career advising resources. Their services include an online resource hub and one-on-one appointments with a Career Education team member. And did I mention that it’s totally free? Make sure you also keep an eye out on your email as they regularly host career-focused workshops.

Centre for Student Development and Counselling

Going to university can be an exciting time of life, but it isn’t always easy. The Centre for Student Development and Counselling offers free and confidential counselling services to help students with their mental health and well-being. Services are provided by a team of psychologists, social workers, psychotherapists and counselling interns.

There are a variety of personal, educational and career counselling services available in both individual and group settings.

Medical Centre

The Medical Centre provides our community with health care services that you can commonly expect from a family doctor including physical examinations, immunizations and mental health assessments. The medical team consists of family physicians, psychiatrists and medical trainees.

Tri-Mentoring Program

This list wouldn’t be complete without a dedicated peer-to-peer support service and the Tri-Mentoring Program (TMP) offers just that.

TMP’s Peer Mentoring supports first-year students by matching them with upper-year students in the same program or with similar interests. The upper-year student will provide guidance throughout your first year and assist with the transition to university life.

TMP also offers Career Mentoring and Group Mentoring activities.

While you may not use all of these support services, take some comfort in knowing that they are there should you or your peers ever need them.

Take care!
