THE SPEAKER: Rob Hong is one of the Founders of Sapling Financial Consultants, a financial modelling consultancy that works with startups through midmarket companies to raise financing and enhance decision-making. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder, finance and consulting professional with a specialization in financial and economic analysis and financial modeling. With more than 9 years of professional experience, Rob has assisted not-for-profit and for-profit organizations gain a deep understanding of the impacts of the various options available at key decision-making junctures through cutting edge financial analysis. Before co-founding Sapling, Rob worked as a Senior Manager in Customer Deals at Bell Canada. Here, he assessed the financial impacts of a complex telecom deal with a multinational provider worth $300M. He also worked as a Senior Consultant at KPMG, where he assisted a provincial government with finding multiple ways of saving $180M of annual costs in a $1.6B health benefits budget. Additionally, he worked as an Associate Portfolio Manager at Artemis Investment Management, where he managed and advised approximately $200M of client assets.
