Join serial entrepreneur Jean Chow to improve your relationship building skills and help you learn to love networking!
Improve your relationship building and communication skills and learn to how to stand out and excel at networking. During this workshop, you’ll learn how to shift your mindset from seeing networking as a necessary evil to an opportunity for seeing possibilities to build a powerful network.
We’ll look at introducing yourself with great opening and closing lines, listening effectively so that you remember names and details, knowing when and how to ask good questions, and be more comfortable and confident in new situations.
The workshop will lead into our Zone Learning Space Launch and Networking (external link) event, giving you the opportunity to put some of your new networking skills to use!
About Jean Chow:
As a serial entrepreneur, Jean is currently focused on her successful professional coaching practice, aptly known on social media as @MsBizWiz. Her interactive networking workshops, “Hacking the Networking Code”, “Networking: Anytime Anywhere with Anyone”, and “Fearless Networking: Connecting Creatively and Confidently” have engaged diverse audiences across the GTA.
Born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Jean obtained her Diploma in Accounting at the Saskatchewan Polytechnic, was a CPA Finalist, and also studied Asian Studies at the University of British Columbia. She recently completed her “Digital Marketing Management” certificate at the University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies. For her next “act”, Jean is working towards being a Social Media Influencer in food and adventure travel. Her Instagram handle: Entrepreneurgal.
Jean was a member of the Zambian Women’s International Squash team - launched a goof-proof Asian DIY gourmet meal kit business – holds provincial life and general insurance licences – was the second Entrepreneur-in-Residence 2013 at the Toronto Public Library – designed and implemented a professional mentorship program for newcomer professionals – received the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for her volunteer work with young entrepreneurs. Jean rock-climbs, reads, runs, still plays squash, and loves connecting the seemingly unconnected!
