Jannatul Islam
Jannatul secured a degree in business administration from University of Dhaka, the most prestigious university in Bangladesh and completed a Master’s degree in business and management from the University of Gloucestershire in the UK. Recently, he completed an MA in Environmental Policy at Memorial University, Canada. Whilst studying, Jannatul worked as a research assistant in varioust community-based projects and engaged in academic and extracurricular activities on campus.
Jannatul has organized and attended more than 30 conferences, seminars, workshops, training sessions, and networking events often securing the funding to attend these events.
Jannatul has also experienced the founding and management of social, cultural, and community-based organizations such as the Holistic Sustainable Development Network (HSDN) International in Canada, Kheropata, and Konthaprobash in the UK, and BIASD and Bancharampur Education and Cultural Parishad in Bangladesh.
Jannatul has published literary magazines in the UK, Bangladesh, and Canada, as well as academic journals. His work experience includes managing an office in HEQEP, World Bank project in University of Dhaka, Bangladesh and as a business lecturer at World University of Bangladesh.
Jannatul’s proposed PhD research focuses on addressing food security issues in Bangladesh, which has one of the most vulnerable food security challenges globally.
