Toronto Metropolitan University's Ted Rogers Sales Leadership Program is the first Canadian program to be named the Associate Member Sales Program of the year by the University Sales Center Alliance (USCA).

Dr. Karen Peesker, the founding director of the Ted Rogers School of Management's Center for Professional Sales, expressed gratitude for the achievement. "This success is a testament to our sales faculty, our fantastic corporate sponsors, sales advisory board, mentors and alumni, and above all, the incredible hard work and remarkable achievements of our sales leadership students."

The USCA, an accreditation organization of 85 universities with dedicated sales centers and programs across various nations, including the United States, Canada, Germany, Austria, and the Netherlands, carefully evaluated the Ted Rogers Sales Leadership Program against rigorous criteria. The USCA Executive Committee made the selection, assessing the program's industry exposure, innovative initiatives, experiential learning opportunities, adherence to USCA standards, promotion of the alliance's mission and values, and level of involvement within the community. Middle Tennessee State University also won an Associate Member Sales Program Award and Texas State University’s McCoy College for Professional Sales Program was awarded the Full Member Sales Program Award.

Cynthia Holmes, Dean of the Ted Rogers School of Management, applauded the program for meeting an industry need and helping students secure jobs. "This award is the result of the tremendous efforts of passionate faculty and staff, and through the leadership of Dr. Peesker. This sales program aligns with our goal of being one of the most innovative and entrepreneurial business schools in Canada, helping our students learn core communication, critical thinking, and leadership skills, while focusing on industry collaboration”.

Brian Segal C.M Ph.D, Chair of Ted Rogers Leadership Centre and Co-founder of the SLP, stated “We have seen the enormous response from industry partners to the program and the talent of the graduates, and we congratulate Dr. Peesker and the students on meeting critical industry needs”.

The Ted Rogers Sales Leadership Program at Toronto Metropolitan University was established in 2018 as Canada's premier English-speaking sales leadership program. Accredited with the USCA in 2021, it has been dedicated to advancing sales education and research, offering experiential learning experiences to students and preparing them with industry-relevant skills to positively impact Canadian business.

The Ted Rogers Sales Leadership Program brings together students, academics, and sales professionals to provide a deeper understanding of sales leadership and engage students in experiential learning opportunities to help them become sales leaders. This unique program aims to develop sales skills to bridge the gap between the skills students lack and the skills top Canadian employers seek. This is only possible with industry support that enhances the learning experience and connects students with industry opportunities.
