Congratulations to Global Management Studies Associate Professor Dr. Deborah de Lange on being selected as one of 100 women for the Women in Energy Transformation series. (external link)

This series, which is a collaborative effort between Pembina, Globe Series and Women in Renewable Energy (WiRE), is a national dialogue that celebrates and honours the women advancing Canada’s transition to a clean economy, and identifies opportunities for more women to get involved. As an inspirational and powerful leader in this field, Dr. de Lange’s efforts are of utmost importance and her guidance will only help move the dial.

Dr. de Lange has more than 30 years’ experience in industry and consulting. She originally studied electrical engineering, and her work in that field is still integral to her career today.

After receiving her PhD in strategic management, she centered her research on sustainable development.

Dr. de Lange focuses on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and contributes to addressing community issues such as the environment and human rights. Her academic research is extensive, including numerous published peer-reviewed journal articles and three books: Cliques and Capitalism, Research Companion to Green International Studies and Power and Influence. She also writes articles designed for public consumption that can be easily understood by a layperson. Her professional experience covers many areas, including climate change mitigation through clean technology, circular economy trade and responsible corporate governance.
