Stacey Copeland

Visiting Researcher

Stacey Copeland, RTA Class of 2014, is a media producer and Ph.D. candidate at Simon Fraser University’s School of Communication in Vancouver, Canada. She received her Master of Arts from both Toronto Met and York University as a joint program in Communication and Culture, where she studied radio production, sound studies, media culture and gender studies. Stacey co-founded FemRadio, a feminist community radio collective, and is currently the supervising producer of the Amplify Podcast Network and podcast project manager for the SSHRC-funded SpokenWeb partnership. Stacey's current doctoral research focuses on lesbian and queer feminist radio and podcasting, exploring how gender and sexuality are communicated through audio media. 

As a Visiting Researcher, Stacey is available to students, faculty and staff as a resource on topics related to sound media and practice, feminist research, queer media history and cultural sound studies.
