Message from the Vice-President, Research and Innovation
I am pleased to present our 2023–2024 annual report celebrating the scholarly, research and creative (SRC) achievements of our faculty and students. This year has been marked by bold initiatives, growing recognition and meaningful impact across disciplines, reflecting the breadth, depth and excellence of Toronto Metropolitan University’s (TMU) SRC activities.

Executive Summary
During the 2023–24 fiscal year, Toronto Metropolitan University’s (TMU) Office of the Vice-President, Research and Innovation (OVPRI) received total research funding of $95.8 million in support of scholarly, research and creative (SRC) activities. Tri-Agency funding from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) of Canada and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) of Canada totalled $39.9 million, representing a 42% increase over the 2022–23 fiscal period.
