Evelyn Cream
Evelyn Cream is a respected international music industry executive and educator whose career spans across Canada, the United States, and over 30 other countries. She has gained unique insight and expertise by working in nearly every sector of the music business, including marketing, publicity, artist management, independent and major record labels, publishing, royalties, and distribution.
Her professional journey includes roles at SOCAN, Anthem Entertainment Group/SROManagement, and Warner Music Canada. In 1998, she founded Athena Music International to support artists and labels in reaching global audiences through marketing, publicity, management, and consulting. In 2016, she joined FACTOR, where she managed grants for the Collective Initiatives and Sponsorships programs, and oversaw their Outreach program, helping strengthen opportunities for Canada’s music community.
Evelyn has been interviewed multiple times by Billboard magazine on international marketing and distribution strategies, served as President of the All-Canadian Jazz Festival, and is a dedicated educator of the business of music. Throughout her career, she has collaborated with Grammy- and Juno Award–winning musicians, as well as members of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, including RUSH, The Yardbirds, The Three Tenors, Herbie Hancock, Roy Hargrove, Kronos Quartet, Steve Vai, Blue Rodeo, Great Big Sea, Loreena McKennitt, Dweezil Zappa, Paul Brandt,Steve Lukather, and many more.
Passionate about live performance and artist development, Evelyn has attended more than 1,000 concerts and continues to bring both her industry expertise and her enthusiasm for music into the classroom, where she is committed to preparing the next generation of musicprofessionals.
