Ed Béchard-Torres is an Assistant Professor at the Lincoln Alexander School of Law. His research focuses on how courts contribute to economic transformation in Colombia, South Africa and India. He is particularly interested in how critical and progressive constitutional projects influence corporate and commercial law. He has been affiliated with the NYU Center for Human Rights and Global Justice and with McGill University’s Center for Human Rights and Legal Pluralism. A member of the Barreau du Québec, he has also served as a law clerk to Justice Suzanne Côté at the Supreme Court of Canada.
