Faculty Mentoring

Faculty Mentoring

Toronto Metropolitan University is committed to supporting new faculty in achieving successful and satisfying careers. In order to do this, we have put a number of supports and initiatives in place.

Further, each of the Faculties (Arts, The Creative School, Community Services, Engineering and Architectural Science, Science, Ted Rogers School of Management) has its own supports and mentorship practices and programs. Your Chair/Director or Associate Dean of your Faculty is available to provide you all of the relevant information.

The goal of all of these initiatives is to support the career advancement, satisfaction and productivity of new faculty members:

  • to help with adjustments to a new environment
  • to help with short and long term career planning
  • to enable positive networking
  • to provide new faculty with opportunities for mutual, respectful and beneficial relationships with more senior faculty who can support and facilitate their career development

If you have any questions or want additional information or support please feel free to contact us at the Office of the Vice-Provost, Faculty Affairs: vpfa@torontomu.ca
