SSHRC-funded research co-creation digital humanities project featuring Monique Tschofen and Kari Maaren

Memory Eternal will be on exhibit again in the summer of 2024 at the New Media Writing Prize Unconference in the UK, and the International Interactive Media and Film Festival.

English Department members Monique Tschofen and Kari Maaren, together with The Decameron Collective, (external link)  a group of nine scholar-creators from across Canada (Angela Joosse, Izabella Pruska-Oldenhof, Siobhan O’Flynn, Jolene Armstrong, Caitlin Fisher, Kelly Egan, and Lai-Tze Fan)  exhibited their SSHRC-funded research co-creation digital humanities project Memory Eternal | Вічная Пам'ять (external link)  in Coimbra, Portugal at the Electronic Literature Organization’s Media Arts Festival during the summer of 2023. 

 

This interactive digital storytelling work, designed for Quest 2, explores grieving and loss at personal, societal, and planetary scales.
