Notice of Collection

In accordance with Section 39(2) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, 1990, and under the authority of the Ryerson University Act, 1977, students’ images, names, program, degree earned, and year of graduation are considered public information.

Note that all convocation ceremonies are broadcast live at on-campus locations and on the Internet. Ceremonies will also be recorded for the purpose of recording and webcasting which makes them available to friends, family and community members unable to attend in person. Cameras capture images of students, audience members, faculty and guests on stage. These images are the personal information of all participants. By accepting the invitation to attend convocation, you are agreeing to participate in the webcast and photo taking.
