Dr. Atefeh Mashatan wins Enterprise Blockchain Award

Congratulations to Dr. Atefeh (Atty) Mashatan for winning the New Frontiers in Blockchain Research (Academic) award at this year’s Enterprise Blockchain Award ceremony.

Dr. Mashatan, Director and Founder of the Cybersecurity Research Lab’s (CRL) at the Ted Rogers School, received this award for the CRL’s work on Mosaïque - a purpose-built digital wallet.

“To interact with blockchain applications, users need a digital wallet to enable secure transaction workflows as well as identity management services,” says Dr. Mashatan. “And hence, we have developed (the) Mosaïque digital wallet: a fully decentralized and data-driven identity and credential management system for business environments."

The Enterprise Blockchain Awards (EBAs) are an annual awards ceremony recognizing innovation and excellence in enterprise. The event focuses on blockchain applications and solutions for business, and how industries are being transformed by distributed ledger technologies. This year’s awards ceremony took place virtually on July 7, 2020.
