Dr. Haider Al Fedhly
“I make systems smarter, safer and more efficient by bridging engineering and human factors.”
Dr. Haider Al Fedhly is a subject matter expert in cyber-physical systems who helps organizations improve productivity and safety. He specializes in intelligent manufacturing and multidisciplinary systems, using human-centred design and systems thinking to reduce the high failure risks of complex products. His recent work focuses on smart vehicle technologies – developing safer, more usable designs and creating methodologies that help designers assess multidisciplinary trade-offs early in the process. For Al Fedhly, integrating human factors into systems design and research is essential to delivering solutions that are high-performing, usable, and reliable. As an engineering professor at Toronto Metropolitan University, he bridges theory and practice, guiding students to consider the needs of people interacting with a system, from operators and drivers to end-users. Beyond the classroom, he explores emerging technologies and design concepts that bring together people, machines, and data. |
