Shannon Pestun (she/her)

Shannon Pestun is the senior advisor to the Diversity Institute for Canada’s Women Entrepreneurship Knowledge Hub, the 50 – 30 Challenge and a range of research and consulting projects. The Diversity Institute is based at the Ted Rogers School of Management at Toronto Metropolitan University. Working with a team of more than 130 researchers and staff, she supports the development of research and strategies that advance gender equity and diversity in leadership and helps organizations accelerate diversity strategies already underway. Shannon is a trusted voice on building inclusive economies for educators, government, industry and the media. She is the co-founder of The Finance Cafe and a board member at Mount Royal University and NPower Canada. A proud Métis woman, Shannon is deeply committed to bolstering Indigenous economic prosperity by driving economic growth and bringing an Indigenous-centred approach to her work.
