Fundamentals of Tech I: Dance

This course provides intensive instruction in the basic principles of ballet, modern, jazz and West African dance forms. Daily classes emphasize the fundamentals of movement - alignment, coordination, strength, dynamics, use of space, musicality and artistry. Principles of theory and practice as well as basic elements of improvisation/composition will be also introduced. Students must pass all course components and participate in the end-of-semester Performance classes in order to proceed into THD 101.
