Professional Practice

This course offers an overview of activities and responsibilities within both the public health and occupational health and safety professions, and illustrates how the programs prepare practitioners for these career paths. The course will introduce some of the key areas that will be studied later in the program: safe food and water, epidemiology, infection control, occupational health and safety, law, accident theory and safety control methods. Information about professional membership and certification will be included.
