Theories of Global Politics

This course examines the major theoretical lenses used to understand global politics such as realism, liberalism,Marxism, constructivism, feminism, post-/anti-colonialism and post-structuralism. These are explored through classic and contemporary readings and their application to case studies such as the outbreak of world war, the rise of China, the growth of inequality, co-operation/discord in various aspects of global governance such as environmental, human rights,and trade regimes.
