Politics in Quebec and French Canada

This course examines the particular expressions of French-speaking political phenomena in the country. Themes to be explored include the social, economic, political and cultural roots of the politics, the evolution of provincial politics in Quebec, francophone politics outside Quebec, the development of various political traditions, the fragmentation of public opinion on Confederation, as well as key political events, personalities and debates.
