Sectoral Applications

Techniques of identification, evaluation, control and management that students have mastered in previous courses are applied to the hazards and controls associated with specific sectors of the economy: manufacturing, construction, forestry, mining, transportation, health care, retail, offices and utilities. Sector-specific regulations are examined. The role of sector-specific safe workplace associations is discussed. This course provides students with an opportunity to explore potential areas of their professional practice.
