Interfaces for Live Performance

Despite the wide variety of control options for computers and video games, digital creation typically comes back to the keyboard and a pointing device (mouse, pen, touchscreen). This production-based course explores the history of unconventional controllers and digital interfaces, examines their use in a creative context, and challenges the student to design and build their own unique controller and creation - whether it be for games, music, dance, drawing, or more.
