Live: Journalism on Stage

Students work as a team to practice live journalism, developing an oral storytelling piece that may be performed before a live audience. Using a decolonized reporting and producing framework, they will work in a variety of roles, including oral storytellers, producers and directors. In producing a piece of live journalism, they will engage with the politics of space and questions of audience engagement, employing a solutions-journalism approach, often with community partners.
