History of Modern Interior Design

This lecture course explores the history of the interior as a global phenomenon, from the beginnings of industrialization to the present day. Interiors from numerous building typologies are studied in the context of social, political, economic, material and technological influences that shaped them. Canadian interiors comprise at least 10% of the course content.
