Critical Health Communication

This course introduces students to a growing field of critical health communication that explores the ideological processes underpinning the meanings of health, illness and well-being. Drawing on Canadian and international examples, the course nurtures students’ ability to critically analyze health practices, messages and artifacts, while paying close attention to the issues of power, ethics and equity.
