Cancer Biology

Current concepts and knowledge about cancer will be covered with a focus on the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying cancer development and progression. Specific topics covered may include the eukaryotic cell cycle, the history of cancer, oncogenes, tumour suppressors, and cancer- causing viruses. Students will analyze and discuss primary research papers that highlight fundamental aspects of cancer.
