Film Production IV: Directing Actors

This course immerses students in the craft of directing actors for the screen with a focus on performance truth, emotional depth, and collaborative leadership. Through rigorous scene work, live rehearsals, and filmed assignments, students will learn to shape dynamic performances using both classical and modern techniques. From casting and cold reads to navigating on-set adjustments and final takes, the course equips directors to communicate with actors clearly, ethically, and creatively, building trust while encouraging excellence.
