Minor in Physics

The Physics Minor provides students with the opportunity to deepen their understanding of physical concepts as well as acquire lab and problem solving skills in Physics. The Physics Minor provides an option for students to have an emphasis in a field other than their own; the additional qualifications give them the opportunity to diversify in their choice of graduate program or career after graduation.

Exclusions: This minor is not available to students in the following programs:

To receive this Minor, students must complete six (6) courses from the following curriculum:

Two (2) courses from the following:

PCS 120 Physics I, AND
PCS 130 Physics II
PCS 125 Physics: Waves and Fields, AND
PCS 211 Physics: Mechanics

NOTE: Engineering students will take PCS 125 and PCS 211. Science students will take PCS 120 and PCS 130.

Plus one (1) course from the following:

Plus three (3) courses from the following:
