Welcome to the Autonomous Robotics and Continuum Systems Lab

Our research is driven by a vision to deploy intelligent robots where humans cannot safely or easily go. We focus on advancing autonomy across two primary frontiers. In continuum robotics, we develop algorithms that enable compliant systems to navigate highly confined environments for applications such as minimally invasive surgery, industrial in-situ inspection, and search and rescue. In mobile robotics, we develop algorithms that allow platforms to navigate unstructured, inaccessible terrain and operate collaboratively alongside humans in shared spaces.
