Indra K. Maharjan
Indra Maharjan (PEng, CEM, CMVP) is a Senior Engineer with an extensive history with energy conservation and energy efficiency projects in the Water and Wastewater (W&WW) sector. He currently leads OCWA’s energy conservation, climate change, and resource recovery initiatives across Ontario. Indra brings knowledge of the electricity, gas market, W&WW sectors by working with more than 200 municipalities across the province.
He focuses on driving conservation through innovation in people, process, and technology within this sector as a key driver for energy, cost, and GHG reduction. Indra has been proactively pursing OCWA's Energy Efficiency and Resource Recovery projects across the province. He is working towards the Energy-Water-GHG nexus that promotes benchmarking in W&WW facilities. He is involved with various government, public, and private stakeholders to promote and share best practices in the sector.
Indra sits on committees with OWWA, CWWA, WEAO, and PEO and is actively involved in the mentoring programs of WEAO, AWWA, CWQA, PEO, and TRIEC.
