Hosting Domestic Visiting Scholars

Please review the process below to formally request to host a visiting domestic scholar.

  1. The sponsoring faculty member should gather the required information and proceed with an application (see checklist on main page)
  2. Complete the “TRSM Request to Host a Domestic Visiting Scholar/Student (external link) ” form.
  3. Once the application has been completed, the applicant (faculty member) should collect the signature of their Chair/Director (not required for Centre/Institute Directors) and submit the Signed Form together with visiting scholar’s CV and Letter of Funding Support to trsm.src@torontomu.ca for approval and signature by the Associate Dean (Research). 
  4. Once approved, the office of the Associate Dean (Research) will provide a formal letter of invitation.
  5. When the visiting scholar arrives, the host should ensure that arrangements have been made to meet with the visiting researcher as soon as possible upon their arrival and to provide the necessary training and any agreed upon resources such as space, equipment,  (google doc) authorizing ONECard, TMU guest email (external link)  etc.
