Bachelor of Arts in Psychology
Komal is an undergraduate student majoring in Psychology at Toronto Metropolitan University, with a minor in Disability Studies. Her interests include mental health, psychology and law, cognitive psychology, and addiction, with a focus on how psychological systems and institutions affect people who are overlooked or stigmatized.
She is especially interested in ethical and critical approaches to psychology, with a focus on disability and addiction, and on how diagnoses, policies, and research practices shape people’s lived experiences.
Komal is currently volunteering as a research assistant in the CMIC Lab, where she is gaining hands-on research experience while supporting ongoing studies. In the future, Komal hopes to attend graduate school.
