Ontario Universities Program in Field Biology (OUPFB)

Dr. Stephanie Melles leads the summer field course Urban Field Biology – Water Ecosystems (BLG 720) through the Ontario Universities Program in Field Biology, where students gain immersive, hands-on experience exploring urban water systems in and around Toronto. Under her guidance, students conduct field-based observations, practice water sampling and species identification, and design and execute their own small research projects, earning full semester credit while developing practical skills in aquatic ecology.
