Join Onyota'a:ka x French art maker, Monique Aura Bedard, and Dash Whyte, Afro-Indigenous multimedia artist as they discuss art journaling, their creative practices and how to approach creating work for your own mental health and well being.

Afterwards, head over to Aura's channel (external link)  for a tour of their art journal, and start creating your own! 

 

Monique Aura Bedard

Aura (ukwe/they/them) is a neurodiverse Onyota'a:ka x French art-maker and visual storyteller. They grew up on Anishinaabe aki, down river from Aamjiwnaang First Nation. Aura is also founder and a mentor for Our Stories Our Truths (OSOT), which is an art and land based creative expression virtual workshop series dedicated to creating a safe space for Indigenous youth in the Tkaronto area. 

Deshaun Whyte

Dash (he/dood) is an Afro-Indigenous skateboarder and multimedia artist who enjoys working with youth across the GTA.
