TA/GA: Trans and Non-Binary Inclusion in the Classroom

Trans and non-binary students face several barriers in higher education due to a lack of acknowledgment and respect, often resulting in violence and social exclusion. This virtual workshop provides participants with constructive and tangible steps on how to create safer spaces for trans and non-binary students. Participants will review several key terms and definitions, learn about some of the challenges trans and non-binary students face, and identify how they can make their teaching practice more inclusive.

Hosted in Zoom By: The Centre's Graduate Student Educational Developer Team.

This event is open to: all TA/GAs, all graduate students (even if they do not have an active contract), and post-docs too.

Note: This session counts as one workshop towards the workshop component of GTDP Level 1.
