Are NAFTA negotiations about more than Donald Trump's latest tweet? Trudeau's response? Tariffs, autos and steel? Is anything at stake for the rest of us? Our job prospects? The economy? The equity agenda? Indigenous rights? Canadian culture? Climate change?
To address these pressing issues, the Jack Layton Chair, Unifor Sam Gindin Chair, and Good Jobs for All Coalition are delighted to present a Lunch & Learn: What's Up with NAFTA, Jobs & Equity?
Join us for a discussion with speakers:
- Dr. Pamela Palmater: Associate Professor, Chair in Indigenous Governance, Faculty of Arts, Ryerson University; and
- Monique Simard: Quebec film producer, feminist, former union leader and politician, NAFTA analyst on culture, media and digital economy.
A light lunch will be served. RSVP is not necessary.
The panel is sponsored by the Jack Layton Chair, Unifor Sam Gindin Chair in Social Justice and Democracy and the Department of Sociology.
Admission is free.
