Call for Proposals
Proposals are now being accepted from individuals and groups interested in presenting at the 2026 TMU IT Conference and Learning and Teaching Conference.
IT Conference presentation proposals
We encourage you to present on your projects, IT service offerings or new technologies being used in your faculty or department. Presentations scheduled for May 13 will be in-person while those scheduled for May 14 will be virtual.
The deadline to submit a presentation proposal for the IT Conference is February 13, 2026.
Why present?
As an academic community, we value and encourage knowledge-sharing and idea exchange. As a presenter, you’re helping to spread useful information that could help other areas of the university.
Plus, it’s a great opportunity to share new learnings or show off your work!
Who can present?
Proposals from all TMU community members, groups, projects and operations are welcome.
What should your presentation be about?
We welcome a broad range of topics, provided they are related to IT. Presentation ideas from previous years include:
- providing updates on IT projects in your area;
- sharing information on specific IT services;
- discussing responses to cybersecurity challenges;
- demonstrating or workshopping a particular technology product; and
- panel discussions about issues impacting the IT industry.
Share in the format of your choice
All presentations will be scheduled for a maximum of 50 minutes to encourage engagement and allow room for participant discussions, socializing and networking. Presentation styles can include:
- Individual or joint presentations
- Panel discussions
- Workshops
- Project showcases
- Product demonstrations

You have the option of submitting your presentation proposal to either committee for consideration. If your topic focuses on teaching and learning, you are encouraged to submit applications to both events.
