Zvikomborero Maziyanhanga
Zvikomborero Maziyanhanga is a PhD researcher in the School of Geographical Sciences at the University of Bristol. He holds a Master’s degree in Politics and International Studies from Rhodes University, South Africa. His research examines the lived experiences of Zimbabwean migrants in Johannesburg, focusing on how legal precarity shapes everyday life, emotions, and practices of belonging over time. Using qualitative and life history methods, his work engages debates on migration, citizenship, temporality, and inclusion in the Global South, while developing comparative insights into global migration regimes.
He is affiliated with Migration Mobilities Bristol and the Centre for the Study of Ethnicity and Citizenship and has held research fellowships at the University of Ghana and the Gauteng City Research Observatory (Wits).
