Migration is one of the defining challenges and opportunities of our time. The Global Migration Institute at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) brings together world-class research and partnerships with scholars, policymakers, and communities to better understand migration and its impacts locally, nationally, and globally.

Led by Professor Anna Triandafyllidou, the Global Migration Institute is producing innovative and usable knowledge on the links between migration and post-migration processes, forced and voluntary mobility, internal and international migration, and the role of countries of origin and transit.

A global leader in shaping policy, informing practice, and deepening understanding of how migration is transforming societies.
