Milestones
2010: Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University) announces the creation of CUE.
2011: CUE opens its doors at 147 Dalhousie St.
2012: CUE launches the Clean Energy Zone.
2013: The Ontario Ministry of Energy and Schneider Electric provide funding to build a one-of-a-kind smart grid laboratory at CUE.
2015: NSERC awards CUE with a $5 million grant to lead a nationwide research network focused on advancing energy storage.
2019: CUE's new state-of-the-art home, the Centre for Urban Innovation at 44 Gerrard St. East, is officially opened.
