Academic Background

I received my BA and MSc in Mathematics (external link)  from the University of Athens (external link) , and completed my PhD in Computer Science (external link)  from the University of Toronto (external link)  in 2010 under the supervision of Avner Magen (external link)  and Toni Pitassi (external link) . After that, I spent five years at the Department of Combinatorics and Optimization (external link)  at the University of Waterloo (external link) , first as a postdoctoral fellow and later as a limited-term Assistant Professor. I joined the Department of Mathematics at Toronto Metropolitan University in 2015, where I am currently an Associate Professor.

My research focuses on combinatorial optimization, mobile agent computing, approximation algorithms, distributed algorithms, and game theory. I am affiliated with the Data Science and Analytics Program at TMU and the Computation and Reasoning Laboratory (external link)  at the National Technical University of Athens. I also serve as an Adjunct Research Professor at Carleton University's School of Computer Science (external link)

I have taught a variety of courses, including Discrete Mathematics, Linear Optimization, Non-Linear Optimization, Combinatorial Optimization, Introduction to Search Theory, Combinatorics, Portfolio Optimization, and Mathematical Game Theory.

I am a member of the ACM (external link) , AMS (external link) , CMS (external link) , and HCAAO (external link) .
