Search for Exchange Opportunities

The search database allows you to view all exchange programs that match your preferences for country, partner institutions, and program type.

Your next step should be to find out what host institutions (i.e. university you will go to) are available for exchange in your program. Start by checking out our searchable database of exchange opportunities.

How to Apply

The Exchange Application Form for the Fall 2026 and Winter 2027 semesters will open in October 2025 until January 31, 2026. The link to submit applications will be posted here. Check back here for the application link in October 2025.

Please note: When applying for the exchange program, the following are general requirements which may not apply to your specific program. Once the exchange portal is opened (in October) and you select your program, it will provide the specific application requirements.

Prepare your application

As part of your online application for exchange, you will need to submit the following documents:

Academic and Non-Academic Reference Contact Information: The name and contact of one academic reference (must be a professor) and one non-academic reference (i.e. supervisor). Make sure to let them know that you will be putting down their name as a reference.

Letter of Motivation: A one-page (max) letter outlining why you want to go on exchange - i.e. outlining your personal, professional and academic goals in going on exchange to your selected host institutions, and how participation in exchange will help you achieve those goals?

 Faculty-Specific Supporting Documents: Faculties may have additional requirements (for example, portfolio, CV, additional letter of references). Check with your Faculty Exchange Coordinator.

Complete the Exchange Application Form

The 2026-2027 Outgoing Student Exchange Application Form (external link)  is now open!

In the exchange application form, you will be prompted to upload the required documentation specific to your academic program and faculty. If you have questions or concerns about applying for the 2026 - 2027 application cycle, please reach out to your Faculty's Exchange Coordinator.

Applicant Interviews

After you submit your application, your Faculty Exchange Coordinator may contact you to schedule an interview, depending on your faculty’s process.

Interview formats and requirements can vary, but when conducted, they are typically an opportunity to discuss your goals for going on exchange, the research you’ve done in selecting your destinations, and your overall academic readiness.

For specific details about your faculty’s process, we recommend reaching out directly to your Faculty Exchange Coordinator.
