Minor in Environmental Health
The Minor in Environmental Health will equip students from a variety of academic backgrounds and disciplines with foundational knowledge about environmental health. Environmental health refers to the relationships between people and exposures to hazards in their communities, built environment, and workplaces. The minor will provide foundational knowledge in key environmental health topics, including epidemiology, occupational health and safety, risk assessment, and pathophysiology.
The course electives will allow students to gain more in-depth and specialized knowledge in specific and focused areas of environmental health, such as pollution and waste management, environmental health hazards, emergency management, occupational hygiene, infectious disease prevention and control and worker health and safety.
