Minor in Biomedical Sciences

The Minor in Biomedical Sciences allows students to increase their understanding of the role that biomedical sciences plays in modern society. Students completing the Minor in Biomedical Sciences will be introduced to basic knowledge of the cellular basis of life, introduction to heredity and cellular metabolism as well as historical developments in biomedical sciences and a brief introduction to ethical issues inherent in this field. This minor is also intended to provide students with additional qualifications that will enhance their options in science-related careers and graduate studies, particularly in biotechnology- or life-science-associated fields.
