Dr. Daniel Tut's research interests lie at the intersection of capital markets and the real economy. In particular, his research focuses on capital structure and corporate governance. Dr Tut's latest working papers examine the effects of stronger creditor rights protection on capital markets, the role of FinTech in combating the Covid-19 pandemic, the conflict between creditors, shareholders, and managers, and the effects of political uncertainty on firms' real decisions. His research has been presented at some of the top finance conferences, including the American Finance Association and the Northern Finance Association.
