Sandy Yong

Sandy Yong, class of 2009 in Hospitality & Tourism Management, earned her business degree at Toronto Metropolitan University and began her career focused on financial independence. After losing thousands in high-fee, high-risk mutual funds, she became a self-directed investor, building a six-figure portfolio by age 27. Sandy is also a successful real estate investor with several rental properties. As a Keynote Speaker, she teaches female millennials how to invest in both the stock market and real estate. Sandy authored the award-winning book The Money Master: Inside Secrets on How to Make Your Money Grow and Stay Safe and has been featured in over 100 media outlets, including Forbes, NBC News, and Yahoo! Finance. She partners with CAMH, donating $2 from every book purchase to support mental health research. Sandy's mission is to encourage open conversations about money and mental health, two vital yet often sensitive topics.
