Chris Jones

Chris Jones, a 2014 graduate from TMU with a Bachelor of Commerce and a law major, was actively involved in the Law Clinic program, the Law Research Centre, and won the Law and Business Case Competition. He continued his engagement with the university through the Law and Business Alumni Association and the Ted Rogers School of Management Faculty Council. Chris is the Founder & CEO of Cannabis Xpress, a role he has held since September 2020. He is also a Professor at George Brown College and serves as an Industry Advisor for Toronto Metropolitan University. Previously, he was the Co-Founder, President, and Board Member at Star Buds Cannabis Co. Canada, where he exited to $CDVA in September 2020. He also mentored and advised Leaf Forward, a cannabis accelerator, from June 2018 to July 2020. Currently, Chris serves as the Director of Business and Client Development at a boutique litigation and arbitration law firm in Downtown Toronto. He plans to pursue his MBA in fall 2016 and enjoys competing in Muay Thai in his spare time.
